San Diego based Have a Cigar started out as a tribute band in the truest sense, paying homage to fallen Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright in late 2008 at local open mic sessions. Realizing the intoxicating effect this music had on music fans, the five Floyd fans pooled their collective talents and focused on presenting the majestic sounds of Pink Floyd to waiting So Cal audiences. Drawing from the many phases of the Floyd catalog, Have a Cigar blast out note for note versions of much beloved Floyd classics as well as using the experimental nature of the band as inspiration to unleash their own creative talents in the spirit of the Floyd.
Expanding the band to include saxophone and female vocals, Have a Cigar presents a very authentic live Pink Floyd experience.

Progressive alternative rock, orginal tunes with a few choice covers.
The Mustet plays original funk infused jazz tunes. Mostly an instrumental ensemble, but I'm not opposed to having vocalist sit in, The Mustet features a rotating cast of musicians. Expect to see drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and other horns. To get an idea of what we sound like listen to the first two albums on the Listen page. Join the mailing list here if you want to make sure you stay up to date.
Matt has performed extensively with these groups in the past, watch for collaborations in the future:
